My name is Agnes, and I am the proud owner of Fifty Shades of Brows, a professional, fully insured, and licensed studio in Ashbourne . As an multi award-winning permanent makeup artist, my studio has become a recognized and respected establishment, drawing clients from near and far.
My Journey
I began my career in the beauty industry at the end of 2019 after dedicating 17 fulfilling years in St. Patrick’s University Hospital in Dublin. While my time in healthcare was rewarding, I discovered my true passion for beauty, leading to the launch of my own business. Since then, I have built a trusted and successful studio that clients choose for my meticulous techniques and consistent, exceptional results.

Results vary for each individual based on skin type, health, hormones, and other factors. My goal is to create natural-looking permanent makeup that lasts up to 3 years.
First, book an appointment and describe your expectations and needs. During the consultation, I will explain how the treatment will proceed and describe every step in detail. Six weeks after the first treatment, we will meet for a second session to finalize the procedure and enhance the lasting effect.
Throughout the entire process, I remain at your disposal should you need further consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions
When it comes to brows, this method is less invasive compared to Phi brows, microblading, or hairstrokes, which often use a blade. This can be quite invasive and might leave scars or discoloration over time if not done properly. In contrast, powder brows don't leave lasting marks, preserving the health and appearance of your skin.
The permanent makeup process is very similar to tattooing but much gentler and uses specialized ink. The effect isn’t permanent like a traditional tattoo and lasts up to 3 years but will need a refresh every year to year and a half (this is called a color boost and costs half of the regular price).
Yes, but you must wait at least four weeks after your last injection.
Everyone is at risk of experiencing cold sores (Herpes simplex) after lip treatment. Most Polish shops sell antiviral tablets for cold sores without a prescription. If you live in Drogheda, I recommend the Polish shop on Bolton Street.

Even if you do get a cold sore, it won't spread all over your lips. We advise taking antiviral medication (Heviran / Hascovir 400mg or 800mg ) starting from day one of treatment and continuing for 3-4 days afterward. Cold sores can be a common reaction after permanent lip makeup, with the herpes virus reactivating in up to 90% of cases.
This is very important .
In order for the treatment to give neat, natural-looking and even results, you lips shouldn’t be sunburnt, chapped, or overly dry. Exfoliated, moisturized lips absorb and retain pigments better and will make the procedure much shorter.
On the day of the procedure, avoid caffeine, alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, niacin, vitamin E, and spicy foods, as they can make your lips sensitive. Avoid applying retinol-based products.

- Inflammation around the face
- Viral infections or diseases
- Blood Clotting Disorders/Haemophilia
- Taking Accutane medication (within the last 12 months)
- Medically diagnosed Keloid Scarring or Hyperpigmentation
- Undergoing chemotherapy (you need a letter from your doctor stating it's safe)
- Do not drink coffee or consume caffeine on the day of the procedure.
- Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Ibuprofen, or omega-3 unless medically necessary 24 hours before.
- Do not drink alcohol 24 hours before the procedure (alcohol and coffee are blood thinners and can cause excessive bleeding, which negatively impacts pigment retention).
- Avoid getting the procedure during your menstrual cycle, as it can make you hypersensitive.
- Do not use Retinols or anti-aging creams before the procedure.
- Do not tan or have a sunburned face on the day of the procedure.
- Do not wax or tint your eyebrows for 2 weeks before the appointment.
- Do not use anti-inflammatories or blood-thinning medication 3 days before the procedure.
- Avoid fresh Botox (wait a minimum of 3-4 weeks).
- Avoid fresh lip fillers (wait a minimum of 6 weeks).
